Climate

The autumn season, from October to early December, is an ideal time to discover the Annapurna region. The monsoon rains slowly decrease with less cloud cover on the summits. Days are warm and night temperatures slowly drop down to 5°C in the valley and can reach 0°C in higher altitude.

In December, temperatures are getting cooler and can occasionally get down to -5/8°C. It is the best time to appreciate the beauty of the valley and the stunning views of the mountains.

From February to May begins the dry season. Days are warm with crystal clear skies in the morning and clouds in the afternoon.  Rainstorms are occasional at the end of the day and, during the afternoon; temperatures can reach 30°C.

From June, the monsoon starts with more rain and snow falls at increasing altitudes.
