On Kilimanjaro, an innovative service of air ambulance services can be provided to evacuate climbers to hospitals in Kenya in the unlikely event of an emergency.
Flying Doctor Service is an Air Ambulance service based in Kenya that provide evacuation via air ambulance aircraft in Kenya as well as in countries around.
In Africa, REACH SUMMIT will ask your guide to have a Flying Doctor Service membership coupon with the client's ID details (to be provided upon booking) with him to call for a rapid air evacuation to the nearest hospital in case of emergency. To benefit from the service, we propose a €50 euro fee while booking your trip to cover the costs of communication and staff services. If you prefer not to pay the small fee but still, your guide have to organise Air Ambulance Service (if available), you will have to bear the costs invoiced by AMREF and Reach Summit (280 euros/ pers).
To be fully operationnal, this service must be booked prior departure and upon booking.
