For the country you intend to visit, you need to get a valid passeport, to check the validity left on your passport along with the entry requirements and a valid visa.
When travelling in Tanzania
Tanzanian authorities are rigorous regarding entry. Travellers are invited to undertake all formalities before entering Tanzanian territory. Neverthless, it is also possible to get your visa at the airport upon arrival.
A single entry costs USD 50$ in cash.
You will need :
- Valid passeport
- Valid Visa
- ID picture (with your name written on the back)
- Round trip flying ticket
If you come from Kenya, you will get a transit visa. Transit visa costs USD 20$ in cash.
Be aware that transit visa has to be paid on each entry in the territory ; one entry upon arrival, another entry when coming back from Tanzania if you fly back from Nairobi. Please, take enough cash to bear the unforeseen costs (I would recommend $80 USD for all visa payments).
When travelling in Nepal
The vast majority of passport holders are allowed to visit Nepal. It is possible to get your visa directly at the airport upon arrival. Bring an ID photo, it will be required at the airport to have your visa delivered.
- 25$ USD for 15 days
- 40$ USD for 30 days
- 100$ USD for 90 days
To extends your toursit visa, a fee of 2$ USD per day (+ USD 30$ fee) is applyed. Payment will be in local currency (Nepali Rupees) and in cash only.
When travelling in Tibet
Upon arrival in Kathmandu, apply for a Multiple Entry Visa for Nepal which can be issued directly at the airport. You would then be allowed to leave and enter Nepal again with no extra fee.
For Tibet trips, we organise a group visa directly from Kathmandu. Please, send a copy of your passport ID page 30 days before departure and your original passeport 3 days before departure.
You will need :
- Valid passeport
- Visa application form completed and signed
- ID picture (with your name written on the back)
- Round trip flying ticket or any transport ticket that proove entry and departure
To ease the process, please send your valid documents early.
Please note : When travelling from Kathmandu to Tibet, do not apply for a Chinese visa from your home country, it will be cancelled as Tibet requires a special visa.

- American citizen : $200 USD
- Other nationalities : $115 USD
Important note for mountain climbing from Tibet side :
For Everest or any expedition in Tibet, a copy of your passeport ID should be received at least 2 months before your trip departure dates to start the process and you will also have to mention your occupation
